I think Donaldo’s jumper quite traumatised me (especially after it grew 2 sizes post-handwashing!) because I have not picked up knitting needles since.
That is until now. While idly clicking about on the InformationSuperHighway on the weekend, I happened across this sweet hat pattern.
I rifled through my meagre stash and found the perfect yarn – worsted (10 ply). This was surprising because DK (8 ply) is pretty much the standard here and 10 ply is somewhat difficult to come across. I have no idea what I intended to do with the single skein that I have had for about 3 years – clearly it was meant to be this! And I get to knit bobbles, which I’ve not done before (so maybe I can count this toward my dabbles: february project?)
oh lensy, you are so wonderful
So, I’m resolving that it will be hats and scarves forever and if I even think about knitting another jumper, I should be given a serious talking to.
