usual afternoon spot
Tomorrow I will:
+ Take the usual morning walk around the park
+ Spend 10 minutes on the exercise bike
+ Start compiling that way overdue reading list
+ Listen to three songs
+ Talk myself out of buying art supplies
I’m discovering the joys of committing to spend 10 minutes doing a thing. I can pretty easily find a spare 10 minutes somewhere – and it generally means I will do the thing rather than continue to avoid it. Will try to extend this out to some of those craft projects I’ve been perfectionisting over.
It might not be energetic enough for you but I am loving the Joe Wicks ten minute “seniors” workout. Totally achievable and a good stretch if nothing more taxing!
Thank you! I will give it a go tomorrow and report back!
So far I’ve committed to a few 10 minute naps!! Seriously though, commiting to 10 minutes sounds like a good idea.
I know it was in jest, but you’ve actually inspired me to trying chucking a couple of naps into my routine. I don’t know why I haven’t thought of doing this. I need more naps in my life.
So far the 10 minutes is working pretty well. Just now I was trying to talk myself out of doing 10 minutes of yoga before bed and I was like “really, self?”, got stuck in. Painless.
I cannot take any credit for the idea at all, but I have no idea where I got it from. Likely one of the 850,000 personal improvement books I’ve read over the past few years.
