It’s rare that I am lost for words, but … Just? What?

Okay, I’ll find my words. Our suburb is in the midst of hipsterification/gentrification and all the hipster (and family friendly) venues are making bank. So why the Holy!Goodness! would you think this revolting skeeviness would work as a profit-making enterprise?
