Retrofit Post: trying to fill the blog with past meals with not a lot of commentary.
Needed to top up the stash in the freezer. Horribly hot weather, but the results were well worth it.
Cuban black bean soup from Women’s Weekly: The Weekend Cook (p.8)
This is so very good – and even more simple (and superior) with the replacement of dried black beans with canned. I do so hate soaking beans overnight, I inevitably forget to do so and they are often chalky.
