Dfkan, as part of her christmas giftage, recieved the book of (her idol) Jonathan Adler and this evening mentioned that, as a child, M. Adler’s brother had a hanging egg chair which the wee Jonathan coveted it madly (he was not permitted to even sit in it).

This resonated greatly, ever since I was about 10 years old, I’ve desperately wanted a hanging egg chair. I think it must be a generational thing.

I was speaking of my deep and abiding love for the aforesaid chairs, and Don casually says, “oh we have those at work”.

At work! If I worked there, I would never leave the hanging egg chairs.

Damn you, EasternSuburbsPowerDrinkersInc for your cool office furniture.

  1. I’m glad you provided a link because there were some weird images going through my mind as it grappled with the concept of a “hanging egge chair”. So that’s what those things are called.
