After being totally captivated by A guide to Elegance, Nancy discovered the author, Genevieve Antoine Dariaux (henceforth known as Madam Thingy), had written another cute little book called “The Men in Your Life: Timeless advice and wisdom on managing the opposite sex”, which I duly purchased as soon as I was able.

So far Nancy has been monopolising the book, but I have read a few snippets. It is the most horrifyingly un-politically correct thing I’ve read for a very long time (or ever!), but terribly funny in a sort of oh-my-god-I-can’t-believe-she-has-written-that type of way! I can’t quite work out whether she is really taking the piss, but given that the book was originally written in 1968, I have my doubts.

So over the next few days, I’ll share some of the more amazing tidbits (each definitely deserves its own post).
