Today I wondered if perhaps I was under surveillance.

While on the train, I mentioned to Fenton that it would be nice to have some feedback from work as to how I was going – good, bad or otherwise.

At around 10.30am, “Waylan”, my boss, asked me out for a coffee and a chat about how things were going!

Coincidence???

But they are very pleased with me and there is nothing they could ask me to do better – awwwwwwww shucks. Also, quite unexpectedly, he said they would be reviewing my salary at 6 months because he knew that they had brought me in at a base rate (I won’t hold my breath for that to happen). I took the opportunity to let him know that I was on $10K more at the SoullessPalaceOfEvil.

I also had a small whinge about “Olive” – the secretary/PA who constantly chats to me, hangs around my desk and who is completely devoid of even basic social skills & unware of even basic social cues. I just wish she would leave me alone and let me do my work! ARGH!
