This is what I’ve arrived at so far, obviously they’ll evolve and change over the ten (TEN!) years this will go for. Some items still need to be fleshed out, but I know I want to do something around the general topic.
Fortunately I have a bunch of items carried over from the 50 project to kick me off (last project’s failure is this project’s … whatever). Stating the obvious, these are the ones in blue with (50) appended.
I’m planning to have the 60 settled on by the end of 2017.
- Make a patchwork quilt (50)
- Learn to complete a cryptic crossword (50)
- Eat no meat for a week (50)
- Make a piece of jewellery (50)
- Cook something ridiculously complex (50)
- Go indoor climbing (50)
- Make something from clay (50)
- Make something from resin (50)
- Complete our family craft activity (50)
- complete my embroidery | Don’s something special (50)
- Complete Joan’s something special (50)
- Enter Sydney to Gong bike ride (50)
- Read no self-help books for a year

- Re-learn how to draw a cross section of a topographic map
- 2x local low-key, camping-style weekends away per year
- Have my first mammogram
- Grow my hair long(ish) one last time
- Kill my gmail account(s)
- Give one compliment every day for a year (and record who and what)

- Give up chocolate for a year
- Stay on a houseboat

- Keep at the no drinking
I like this! esp the topographical map and giving compliments. I’m intrigued as to why Instagram is negative for you? I love it as my happy place.
I’ve had a half-formed post about instagram kicking around in my head for a while now (must do something about it). Mostly stems from my inability to control my use, it quickly becomes all-consuming and kind of mindless. But also I really don’t care for the non-chronological timeline (it could take a week for me to have someone’s post appear in my feed) and the adverts – so many, many sneaky adverts.
I do miss catching what everyone is up to.
Good list. I have done 8 of these things and wouldn’t mind stealing a few of your other ideas.
Please do – I’d love to see what you do with them!
Oooh visit scotland!!!
I love your lists and hope you don’t mind if I make a 50 by 50 list. Your list has so much fun stuff on it, and I realise how easy it is to just faff around on my phone and not have any intentional fun!
Oh please do! I’d love to see what you come up with and follow along (and possibly steal some ideas!).
I definitely tried things I otherwise wouldn’t have, which have now become regular things. I probably *could* have done this without the project – but realistically probably wouldn’t have!
