achieving achievers

I’M VERY EXCITED BECAUSE I AM CURRENTLY WEARING A JUMPER!

AUTUMN WEATHER – HURRAH!

xxxxxxxxxx

This morning we rode to Kurnell and back! 80km!

It was a gorgeous crisp, even rather cold at first, sunny morning and surprisingly few people about. The hordes of walkers, runners and cyclists we’ve seen in previous weeks had vanished. Triffids?

The ride was really good, except for a couple of small niggles – my higher gears were acting a little funny at the beginning, but settled down after a while – cold perhaps? Must book Corey in for his first service in the next couple of weeks. I still have issues with being able to manoeuver and while practising on a tight corner, caught the edge of a fence and almost fell off. My phone now has some interesting scars from when it bounced out of the bag on my handlebars and onto the concrete path – luckily the glass was unscathed.

One thing I have discovered is that I love to ride fast(ish) on long stretches of flat road – finally something that gives me the same kick that running does!

And best news of all – I was adequately fueled, so no crazy ocular migraines! I do have a couple of small aches and pains, but it would be completely crazy if I didn’t, given the speed (fast for us) and distance.
