I should definitely make it a priority to tinker more with my DSLR. Sunday was the first time I had touched it in weeks.

I’d really like to take better photos, but that’s not going to happen without a good deal of practice.

And DSLR really needs a name, I don’t know why it is, but I seem to need to anthropomorphise my belongings (or at least name them) before I feel attached and invested.
