In exciting news, I managed to get out for a 3km run this morning. It was rather unpleasantly warm (even before 9am), but I managed to not collapse in a sweaty heap. In other good news, I managed to keep focus on tweaking my technique as RelentlesslyCheerfulPhysio suggested (stop bouncing! lead with knees! keep the belly-button facing straight ahead) and I found it a good deal less exhausting – though it did nothing for my time. But hey, baby steps.
And thankfully No Pain in my adductor magnus – woo hoo! I’m hoping to make it out twice a week in the mornings before SML and twice on the weekend. Taking it all very slowly of course.
And I really need to source a decent pilates class.

In health news, I’ve decided to jump back on the sobriety train (save for impending birthday, Xmas day and Hong Kong – possibly wedding anniversary if we remember when it actually is, oh and Don’s birthday!) for another year.
I feel like the body and brain needs a bit of a re-set and I can’t see the wallet complaining either.
Glad to hear you are back out running although 4 times a week might be a bit much to start with. Also, as you know, I am a big fan of sobriety so that sounds good too.
Yes, I think I might need to revise that down to maybe 2 or 3 times for the next little bit (and to keep the distance shortish).
I’ve a couple of SML functions coming up where I suspect I’ll be the only person who won’t be drinking. Sobriety definitely makes you realise how perfectly tedious most of your colleagues are!
