I’ve been pretty chuffed with my running progress, so last weekend impromptu-ly signed up for the mother’s day classic next Sunday. I’ll be running the 8km.
My goal is to not come last. My stretch goal is to finish in the first 3/4 – which will be a very big stretch indeed as I’m awfully slow.
My bib arrived on Thursday and my number is a pleasing combination of my birthdate – I’m not sure if that is some sort of sign, but, hey, it can’t hurt.
Of course, as is the way of such things, I am now coming down with a cold. I’m resting and hydrating and I will do this even if I have to be dragged from the sick bed.
