This was intended to tide us over until our early dinner (very late lunch):

And deep-fried pita bread? Amazing!
So simple, so delicious!
Unfortunately our new SuperOven has cooked the turkey about an hour sooner than expected – this despite me adjusting the temperature and timing to account for its SuperOvenness.
After stuffing ourselves with hummus, there was a mad scramble to prepare vegetables – which are now roasting happily away.
I feel there will be many leftovers.
