Wednesday was the very scary horrid day where Joe/Frank received his first HSC marks for his first three subjects (you might recall that he is splitting Year 12 over two years).
Given the level of effort he had put in, we (including J/F) were not feeling entirely confident. J/F had what we thought were pretty realistic expectations of his results and those expectations included the need to repeat at least one subject.
The night before, we’d discussed how the magical good-marks faeries do not actually exist, despite everyone’s wish that they really very much do.
Imagine our surprise when we woke to discover that the magical good-marks faeries had been to visit! He’d received 10 marks more than anticipated for each subject.
We celebrated quietly that evening:
Now the uphill battle for the remaining two (harder for him) subjects.
