It has been raining and raining and raining.
Torrents! Buckets! Floods! More rain in July than in the past 60 years.
So it was with some amazement that we watched the giant boat across the way disgorge mountains and mountains of sand onto the wharf in the torrential rain. But disgorge it did (though surely a good deal of it ended up in the harbour).
Less than 24 hours after giant boat departed, and dozens and dozens and dozens of trucks later (downshifting all the day and half the night), the sand has vanished!
