I had to drive Bessie home to the suburbs from her holiday with us, Don was feeling poorly, so simple was the word of the day. To the freezer, batman!

Cuban black bean soup from Women’s Weekly: The Weekend Cook. Served with mini-flour tortillas.

This is really wonderful, very cheap and freezes particularly well. I generally try to make a batch just so we can have it on hand for just such and occasion.
