bugger, same thing has happened to me with dell power cord (not the explosion but the little phut and not working). It is just dealing with Dell is so horrid and $100 for a power cable is so wrong.
Am currently really hating on laptops – the many laptops in the haus seem to be having various issues all at the same time.
Everything is so flimsy and hideously expensive to replace (when you actually can replace)!
