I read in the SMH today that there are only two weeks left for us to enjoy the workingharbour – which I think is all kinds of fucked up.

Oh, now that is sad. I lived in the city overlooking the harbour for nearly 2 years, and I grew to love the working aspect of the harbour. I am very sad to see that part of our city go. We are more at the yachty/poncy end now, and don’t see the harbour except on walks to the park, but I love pointing out tugboats and container ships to my kids when we do see them.>>Raise a glass to the ships for me, please.
I’ll raise several! We’re going to be all about the wanky boats too – they’re constructing a perfectly hideous (and enormous) pointy boat storage facility across the bay from us.I had no idea how much I would love the container ships. I feel as though I need to move to La Perouse or something now – but then I come to my senses.
