Today sees the first Ducks game at the SCG for the season (which I am rather convinced they will lose).
And it is the first time that either of us has been able to sit in the Members’ stand, because normally we’d be in with the rabble. But now we’ve shelled out for decent memberships1 (when I say we, I mean Don shelled out for our memberships) we get to sit in the good seats – away from the rabble.
What sitting in the Members’ means is that we have to abide by certain dress regulations, which are rather more restrictive for Don than for me.
Males: Neat casual attire – shirt with collar, dress shorts/trousers and closed dress shoes. (No T-shirts, sandals, thongs or bare feet).
Females: Neat casual attire with shoes. (No rubber thongs, bare feet or revealing attire).
I’m not sure if that means that I can wear non-rubber thongs. But really, are there hoardes of people trying to gain entrance wearing no shoes?
Anyway, enjoy the following photographs of the last time we visited the SCG – the day after the Duck’s lost the Grand Final and some drunken dude at the pub persuaded us that it was our duty to go and show our support.

1Don had a rabble membership the year before last.
Goodness – look at you with your drunken footy shenanigans! I’m impressed!
FINALLY! It took me an age to sign in – I had to go into blogger and change my blog account to google.
