After dropping off the bambinos, we decided to pick up some grocery staples while in the southern-ish suburbs this afternoon (because the supermarket chains tend to gouge on price in the eastern suburbs – bastards). I was quite horrified to discover that I was the only person in the very very busy supermarket who used cloth bags. 9/10 people at Potts Point Woolies uses cloth bags – using plastic will earn you looks of death.

Overheard on the train home (announced by a 17 year old who had just started working) “Yeah, you have to work really hard [in the workplace] for the first 2 years, after that you can just take it easy.”
