the printer is kaput – it died late on Wednesday evening, just as nancy had finished (thankfully) printing an essay.

*something* is wrong with it, not cable, not driver, not computer – so we’ve made the executive decision to chuck it and buy another one tomorrow.

anyone who knows the hardlys, knows this is an enormous decision – a year ago we would not have rested until we had identified the problem and we certainly would not have chucked it in such a cavalier fashion.

i think this is progress!!! (or merely a sign of having a little more of the ready$ to throw at shops)
