Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line – Major delays
CityRail advises that trains are being delayed on the Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line in both directions due to a person injured by a train at Bondi Junction. Major delays can be expected.A replacement bus service has been arranged between Bondi Junction and Martin Place until train services can resume.
Police and emergency services are in attendance. At this stage there is no forecast of when the line can be reopened. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
If I had left work *on time* I would have not been forced sit in a train for 30 minutes and to walk home from Martin Place (at Martin Place the announcement of “injured passenger” was altered to “fatality” – interestingly all announcements said the “injured passenger”/”fatality” was at Edgecliff, not Bondi Junction as stated by the Cityrail site). Fenton and Nancy are still *out there* somewhere.
