lovely noxious weed
I needed to grab some kitties supplies this morning, and I took the opportunity to get out in the sunshine and walk along the foreshore near the old neighbourhood for a bit.
Even just 30 minutes was extremely peaceful and extremely restorative.
I say this all the time, but I definitely would benefit from getting outside more!

That’s lantana! Is it a weed to you? Where I grew up, it would grow into bushes or trees, depending on how it was pruned. Where I live now, it’s an annual and I won’t plant it because I hate to see it die when the weather gets cold (like pelargoniums, which to me should grow hedge-sized, not be little bobbles less than knee-high). Either way, to me it’s a garden flower.
Oh – the worst kind of noxious weed! The InformationSuperhighway tells me it is a Weed of National Significance:

I think almost impossible to kill!
It is super-pretty and delightful though – like fairy flowers!
