The weather might not know that it is spring, but the plants on the balcony have a bit of an inkling:
I don’t know what they are (if you do, please enlighten me), they just appeared in a pot of weeds and things that just grew as if by magic.

Hmmm they look like what we'd call day lillies but… bigger.
I stuck this picture on Aardvark and someone said they look like tiger irises.
Aardvark is pretty useful.
CB, they're quite small (maybe 5-7cm diameter), so maybe they are day lillies.
Flashman, could be tiger irises, but maybe too small. I'd not come across Aardvark before – looks pretty excellent!
