Toad in the Hole for us tonight!

Having never had it before, it should be an experience – naturally the recipe comes from the divine BBC Comfort Food book.

Fortunately my measuring spoons are a UK version (they are lovely and metal and on a little ring) because as we all know – UK & Australian tablespoons are of different sizes – something I had forgotten until yesterday when trying to work out the volume of a dessert spoon!

Nancy wanted me to cook Spotted Dick to accompany the Toad in the Hole, however she changed her tune after I pointed out that it contained sultanas/raisins & such.
