This time of year is both completely lovely and completely ghastly. The weather is gorgeous, but coming home from work in the dark is revolting, except when confronted by this:

I took a break from all the assignment supervision and wandered out on Saturday evening to take the daily view snap. It was only when I was framing the shot that I noticed a lovely surprise perched on the balcony railing!
