Finally, The Covid has visited ThePalace(OfLove)
Joe/Frank tested positive on a RAT** yesterday morning, which meant that the household (palacehold?) was plunged into isolation for seven days.
Don had been feeling pretty unwell on the back of a Super Cold and a bunch of his colleagues tested positive over the weekend after a work offsite late last week. He had a negative RAT, but still took himself off for a PCR^^ on Sunday and the results came back negative on Sunday night. Because he was becoming increasingly poorly and it seemed less cold-like, he took a RAT last evening – and BOOM! it shone positive like the proverbial Xmas tree.
Joe/Frank and Don are both trucking along – lots of quiet times and napping.
However, I am still testing negative – but surely will not stay that way with all their germs floating about!
Send hugs!

I don’t know if you call them this where you are, so to translate:
** RAT = Rapid Antigen Test = home test | stick a probe up your own nose
^^ PCR = Polymerase Chain Reaction = queue up | have a professional stick a probe up your nose and down your throat | lab test
Hope you all get off lightly. I listened to a podcast a few months ago about Covid and then they were predicting that everyone in the world who wasn’t vaccinated would get it. I think now the prediction would be that everyone in the world will get it but those vaccinated are unlikely to get seriously ill. Infection rates here are incredibly high and every day you hear of people getting it.
Thank you!
It’s really running rampant here at the moment (rampant in the Sydney context!). Thankfully we’re all triple vaxxed so hopefully stays relatively mild. Don and Joe/Frank are definitely sick – but thankfully Bad Cold sick or ‘flu sick, not cart-you-off-to-the-hospital sick.
I continue to remain covid-free – quite the miracle as I’m sharing the same enclosed space with them and I’m sure they’re shedding virus everywhere.
I’d really like to get out for a short walk – alas such things are not permitted. We’re out on Monday – if my invincibility holds!
Oh lordy! Hope the palacehold recovers soon and that you are super germ repellent. Virtual hugs!
Thank you – I will definitely take those virtual hugs.
Another day, another negative RAT for me!
I’m a little bored by this relentless indoor life – at least when we were locked down I could take a walk.
