a growing small pile of errors

Rowan kidsilk haze definitely does not appreciate being unravelled.

It is quite fragile and sticky^^ and is not inclined to take kindly to even gentle attempts to detangle – breaking early and often.

I’m currently knitting the knitlab minimal lace scarf in the flamingo (713) colourway.

Knitting this is extremely maddening and extremely enjoyable at the same time. And this evening I realised that I’d made an error in every second of the last 20(ish) rows. Immediately after congratulating myself for a good run without mistakes.

I was a little unsettled to read the recommendation in the pattern (only after buying it) to knit with garter stitch because the stocking stitch sample pulled and curled so much. The stocking stitch sample was the thing that attracted me, so I’m persisting. It is definitely pulling and curling and I am not certain this will block out.

I’m actually not sure I’ll even wear this scarf, so it is unclear why I am continuing. Likely at this point it is unwillingness to let it defeat me.

^^ as in sticks to itself like a very enthusiastic burr, not sticky as in slimy.
