At the end of one of our favourite bike routes is a really lovely Moreton Bay fig – or Goblin tree (using our preferred nomenclature)

This is one of my very favourite kinds of tree. I was particularly excited when some self-seeded when we were in Glebe – and are still growing strong almost 4 years later:

When we stopped to snack on our ride last weekend, we noticed there were figs all over the ground – so I thought I’d grab a couple and see if we could grow some more wee trees:
