2010: day 292 (tu) scotch fillet with purple dutch carrots and sauteed mushrooms

The strange quality of light you notice in the photograph below is because, astoundingly, we ate dinner during daylight hours!

Scotch fillet (have to keep the iron up!) with purple dutch carrots and sauteed mushrooms.

We had purchased the mushrooms for the previous Saturday’s beef bourguignon, but failed to include them, so Don sauteed them in butter and a little verjuice. I’m normally not a huge fan of mushrooms, but these were fabulously good. And the purple carrots were great, but left the plate looking a wee bit monochromatic!
