BBC Good Food rarely lets us down, so when spicy chicken and bean stew appeared in my reader, I was keen to give it a whirl.

So Very Bland. And this was despite ramping up the chili and garlic quite a bit and adding paprika (and seasoning well) as per the comments.

And really, I think serving over rice was a mistake, it just diluted the flavours even more.

I’m fairly convinced it was not me because everything was cooked perfectly well, it just tasted like … nothing.

Definitely NOT a keeper.
