It was the footy grand final! So, of course, we had to have pie!

It was a rather hot day, so not so great for pastry-making, but I coddled it terribly and it worked out quite well indeed.

It really is a wonderful pie, I’d say definitely the haushold favourite. All the prep, particularly finely slicing the leeks, is a bit of a bugger though. I am very glad that my husband has m4d prepping sk1llz and does not find chopping things up at all tiresome!

Of course the question is, given that the grand final was a draw, will it be pie again next Saturday?
